Radiated Aragonite crystals on Quartz Druse in Dendritic Jasper that is Jasper after Calcite. This can be seen in the structure of the Jasper on the back of the rock.
The Black areas are the Manganese Oxide mineral Pyrolusite.
Sample is from the Sunset Copper mine, Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia and Fluoresces under both Long and Short wave UV lights. Shows some Phosphorescence under Short wave.
Piece measures 120 x 87 x 58 mm and weighs 298 Grams.
