Aussieminerals.com was established in 2004 by us, Ken Stockdale and my partner, Sharon Clifford. We have been collecting local minerals in the Carpentaria Mineral Province for a combined 40 years.

We operate from our King’s Cross Copper mine situated off the Barkly Highway between Mount Isa and Cloncurry.

This is where we clean, cut, polish and prepare our mineral specimens and stones. We also etch minerals on a small scale. These are all locally sourced and are presented on our website for purchase.

We do have some items from other localities – Opals from Lightning Ridge in New South Wales and from the Kynuna Boulder Opal Field in North West Queensland, as well as other places. Origin of all items are listed in the descriptions.

Our main reason for selling rocks is so we have the room to go and collect more.
